The idea to launch Kreditfonden was hatched by Fredrik Sjöstrand and Peter Norman, who are also the founders of the management company. The macroeconomic picture and the conditions for a direct loan fund in the Scandinavian market were carefully analyzed. As a result of the financial crisis, new capital adequacy rules have been introduced that have greatly reduced the banks' willingness to finance companies. In conjunction with regulatory changes, such as a new AIF (Alternative Investment Fund) directive within the EU, the gameplan was opened for a fund of this kind, and Scandinavian Credit Fund I was founded.
In 2015, the company and our first fund Scandinavian Credit Fund I opened for trading in January 2016. From the first year having a capital of about SEK 160 million, the fund has had a fantastic journey and had a managed capital of about 3.3 at the beginning of 2019 SEK billion. This is something we are extremely proud of and grateful for.
Join us on our joint journey too!
We at the credit fund also have a number of partners that are essential to our operations in various ways. The ones we work with are the following:
